THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 85, TOPIC: THE DANGERS OF WHAT IF?

I have thought of the best title to give this article and the above was all I could think of.

So many lives have not been inspired or will I say some destinies have been limited or simply not being helped because we have always dwelt so long on these two words “ What if ”.

What if, I am criticized? What if I don’t sing the song so well? What if I fail at my first attempt and many what-ifs?

IN THOSE DAYS

Some of my friends and I in 2012 pioneered a group called “world-changers” and in the early stage of The initiative I had so many questions unanswered within me but somehow, I was so focused on the passion burning within me to lend my little voice to the youth who was our targeted audience? I had somewhat ifs? On my mind. Then, as an undergraduate, we had days we travelled to states for strategic meetings to plan for the world changers events, I didn’t recognize the impact of that investment we were making on ourselves and others.

One of the days while we went for this strategic meeting in Enugu on my way to Anambra, I met a lady who as a result of our interaction and discussion in the car told me “Charity, thanks for coming into my life at this stage and helping me to see a beam of hope again”

I had every reason to relent when we had the burden for this movement and one of it was “the what if voice” but we all ignored it and our focus was on the vision we had.

Look, you don’t know how many destinies are waiting for you to boldly step out to do that which God has set as a burden in your heart, Hey, you are a potential force to the generation looking up to you.

What if you prayed when you had the nudge to pray for that your friend? What if you wrote that book and faced that fear fearlessly, what if you implemented those goals you outlined for the year and so on.

By, doing so, you may not know how many lives your courage to step out boldly will help to shape.

It may not make sense when you begin this journey of daring and purpose fulfilment, but surely it would someday.

Here is the lesson; your ability to ignore the voice of fear in you and find the courage to step out boldly may be one step to your generational relevance and impact to those destinies that are attached to yours.

Step out in the right direction today!

Do it, if you can’t, still do it afraid.

POEM TITLED: WHO ARE YOU?

Perhaps, we are not afraid to die But of our kin vanishing when we stagger with cravings Of our voices echoing in empty homes Empty homes that once roared with thrill and glee For if we sit and think of the life a single breath holds, How shortly a name sticks in our mouths, And how very shortly it vanishes We will be still With purpose in our eyes, we roam the earth The lies we live guard against reality and true persona The alarm goes off, We jump into the streets to a place we many a time hate To an environment that gives our souls treachery colours Time is a monster When it takes, it takes everything Do you know why we write our names on things? Perchance if your answer is same as mine, We should write our names on our bodies too. Then again, we do not. Because we own ourselves? No That golden recollection of who we are is what we own Especially in a world that forgets The silence can stroll in anytime The lips that once said our names will shut their doors You see, warnings ...

#THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 73, TOPIC: WHY WE LOSE/MISS OPPORTUNITIES

TOPIC: WHY WE MISS OPPORTUNITIES. “Opportunity comes to those who seek for it, not those who wait for it.” Opportunities don't wait for anyone, you have to seek and find them.           Opportunities are everywhere, they exist around us, they increase by the day as knowledge increase, you have to build capacity to maximize them.   Most persons have been forced to believe that opportunities are meant for some few “lucky” fellows, that’s a lie, anyone can encounter opportunities, it all depends on your level of preparation and commitment to take the bold and impossible step. Michael Dell said, “It’s through curiosity and looking at opportunities in new ways that we’ve always mapped our path.” Try to live beyond the status quo.   REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOSE/MISS OPPORTUNITIES. There are diverse reasons why people miss/loss opportunities, but I'll focus on just three reasons, they're as follow; 1.      LACK OF SELF-D...
