THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 81 TOPIC: AIM FOR RESPECT AND HONOR

“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.” Ecc7:1 Nkjv

Anyone who wants to build a lasting success must master the act of self-respect and creating positive track record.

Today the pursuit of honour and respect is fast becoming a thing of the past, because what we are after is creating wealth and pursuing fame.

True influence and wealth are built through honour and integrity.

“Respect is reciprocal” this is a true saying, you cannot earn respect when you are worthy of it. Respect comes to those who know how to give it and how to live it.

“There are so many honourable men and women by title, with true honourable men and women missing in action”

Honour is not obtained by position or office, no!

It is a function of your lifestyle and character. It is something you build over time.

Why do you respect those you hold in high esteem?

Is it because of their riches, cars or houses?

Why is it that there are people in society who are very rich, but nobody takes them seriously?

Why do you think there are famous people who are ridiculed and shunned?

Why is it that some elderly persons are disrespected without apology?

Respect and Honor are not earned by age, nor riches, it is not earned by educational status or political office. These two phenomena are earned by impeccable demonstration of character, integrity and sacrifice.

The world will always respect men who sacrifice themselves to make the world a better place, the world will always honour a man of integrity it’s only a matter of time, and the world celebrates a man of character.

Never settle for less than the best, live a respectable life, don’t pursue money and lose your integrity, don’t pursue money and be a laughing stock or topic of trivia discussions.

Be that guy or lady that when people call your name it will be to praise you or advise others to be like you.

 QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“Live every day knowing that one day you will be no more or put every day as if it is your last?”

#THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 73, TOPIC: WHY WE LOSE/MISS OPPORTUNITIES

TOPIC: WHY WE MISS OPPORTUNITIES. “Opportunity comes to those who seek for it, not those who wait for it.” Opportunities don't wait for anyone, you have to seek and find them.           Opportunities are everywhere, they exist around us, they increase by the day as knowledge increase, you have to build capacity to maximize them.   Most persons have been forced to believe that opportunities are meant for some few “lucky” fellows, that’s a lie, anyone can encounter opportunities, it all depends on your level of preparation and commitment to take the bold and impossible step. Michael Dell said, “It’s through curiosity and looking at opportunities in new ways that we’ve always mapped our path.” Try to live beyond the status quo.   REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOSE/MISS OPPORTUNITIES. There are diverse reasons why people miss/loss opportunities, but I'll focus on just three reasons, they're as follow; 1.      LACK OF SELF-D...

POEM TITLED: WHO ARE YOU?

Perhaps, we are not afraid to die But of our kin vanishing when we stagger with cravings Of our voices echoing in empty homes Empty homes that once roared with thrill and glee For if we sit and think of the life a single breath holds, How shortly a name sticks in our mouths, And how very shortly it vanishes We will be still With purpose in our eyes, we roam the earth The lies we live guard against reality and true persona The alarm goes off, We jump into the streets to a place we many a time hate To an environment that gives our souls treachery colours Time is a monster When it takes, it takes everything Do you know why we write our names on things? Perchance if your answer is same as mine, We should write our names on our bodies too. Then again, we do not. Because we own ourselves? No That golden recollection of who we are is what we own Especially in a world that forgets The silence can stroll in anytime The lips that once said our names will shut their doors You see, warnings ...

#THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 72, TOPIC: I AM A WOMAN

I Am A Woman INTRODUCTION: After birth, as we grew, we were taught to understand the implication of our gender, the consequences of making wrong actions and attributes that distinguish you from the male gender. For some of us, we raised questions, our minds wondered ‘Why is it so hard to be a woman or a girl, as the case may be?’ But other times, we uttered words like ‘Thank God I'm not a man'. So we found ourselves accepting our gender definition when the condition was favorable and appealing, and also wishing we had made another choice, if we could, as far as gender was concerned. May I remind you that once you cannot accept or appreciate the fact that you came as a woman, you would always find fault in ‘being a woman', you would never consider yourself good enough as a woman. CAN I BE ANYTHING ELSE? Let's talk about me for a moment. I am a woman (well, I would define myself better as a Lady, with respect to age and marital status). But, the list progres...
