“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.” Ecc7:1 Nkjv
Anyone who wants to build a lasting success must master the act
of self-respect and creating positive track record.
Today the pursuit of honour and respect is fast becoming a thing
of the past, because what we are after is creating wealth and pursuing fame.
True influence and wealth are built through honour and integrity.
“Respect is reciprocal” this is a true saying, you cannot earn
respect when you are worthy of it. Respect comes to those who know how to give
it and how to live it.
“There are so many honourable men and women by title, with true honourable
men and women missing in action”
Honour is not obtained by position or office, no!
It is a function of your lifestyle and character. It is
something you build over time.
Why do you respect those you hold in high esteem?
Is it because of their riches, cars or houses?
Why is it that there are people in society who are very
rich, but nobody takes them seriously?
Why do you think there are famous people who are ridiculed and shunned?
Why is it that some elderly persons are disrespected without
apology?
Respect and Honor are not earned by age, nor riches, it is
not earned by educational status or political office. These two phenomena are
earned by impeccable demonstration of character, integrity and sacrifice.
The world will always respect men who sacrifice themselves to
make the world a better place, the world will always honour a man of integrity
it’s only a matter of time, and the world celebrates a man of character.
Never settle for less than the best, live a respectable life,
don’t pursue money and lose your integrity, don’t pursue money and be a
laughing stock or topic of trivia discussions.
Be that guy or lady that
when people call your name it will be to praise you or advise others to be
like you.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“Live every day knowing that one day you will be no more or put
every day as if it is your last?”
