THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 56, THEME: THE MAN, TOPIC: CREATING VALUE

Man has always been known for consistency in his quest to make money and fame, which is his definition of success. He is always looking for shortcuts just to make money and become rich and successful as they call it, but paid little or no attention to creating value which is indeed the easiest way to becoming successful. God was so deliberate when he created man, his desire is that man will be productive and create lasting values that impact the lives of everyone around him (Gen. 1:27-28).
Value is anything you do that makes someone else’s life happier, easier, or more profitable. Creating value on the other hand means doing something to meet a need, filling a void, proffering solution to problems, or improving the way a good or service is being offered. Creating value makes you valuable, successful, and influential. Here are some tips on how to create value:
THE GOD FACTOR:
You need God if you will create value. The presence of God is what gives meaning to life, if He is not with us we are doomed. The secret to the success of men like Abraham, Joshua, Gideon, etc. was God’s presence. They understood the need for God, submitted themselves to Him and God gave them strength and courage. It is not enough to run after our dreams and aspirations we must run after and seek God. Nothing can be done without God, without Him your life has no meaning. With God, all things are possible, with Him we can do all things. …With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:261.

DISCOVER AND PURSUE PURPOSE:
Men and women who become successful and influential as a result of creating value were those who discovered and pursued their purpose. When you walk in purpose, it is easier to add value to the lives of other people. Discovering your purpose is finding the exact way to impact the world. You may never be able to meet a need if you have not discovered your purpose. Purpose gives direction to your life.
“The two most important days in your life are; the day you were born and the day you find out why you were born”

    1. HAVE A PERSONAL DEFINITION
What is people’s perception of you? Do they know exactly what you stand for? Define yourself: what you do and why you do them. Have a mission statement for your life, what problems can you solve? What skills do you have? All these will help you if you want to create lasting value on people and the world at large.

2.    BUILD YOUR SELF-ESTEEM
Self-esteem is the opinion you have about yourself and the value you place on yourself. It is having the right sense of value about oneself. Factors like your bank account details, your job status, how much you weigh, etc. God created every man with a purpose. Before you were ever born, He established your real worth, by choosing you and ultimately by dying for you. If you will ever create lasting value, you must make a decision to leave behind your feelings of worthlessness and embrace your true worth in God. Your self-esteem is secure when it is based on the opinion of your creator.
“The world will never value you more than you value yourself “_Bill Masur
3.    BUILD COMPETENCE
Building competence is like daily cleaning of your room. If you stop cleaning, what do you think will happen? Dirt will accumulate. To create value, there is a need for improvement, improving your ability to perform; your knowledge, skills, relationships, etc. Competence doesn’t just spring up in a day, it is built over time. Building competence boosts your confidence. “One of the best ways you can use your time is to increase your competence in your key result areas “_Brian Tracy
4.    BE DELIBERATE ABOUT YOUR PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE:

Amir Khan in the movie ‘3 Idiots’ said:
“seek excellence and success will follow you pants down”.
One thing the world has always been known for is her quest for excellence, even though the world is never passionate about God and religion, she will always bow for excellence. The world today celebrates and idolizes men like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo etc. not because of their religious affiliations or color but just for their excellence. The Holy Scriptures gave us examples of men like Joseph, David, Daniel, Apostle Paul, etc. who pursued excellence in the purpose of God for their lives, met a need, and proffer solutions to problems in their time (Gen. 45:5,7, Dan. 5:12). When you are in pursuit of excellence you don’t mingle with mediocre who always want to maintain the status quo, to excellence is a dangerous risk to take. Do you know where an excellent man is? Kings are looking for him; he is not meant to dwell with mediocre (Prov. 22:29 Paraphrased)
5.    DON’T PURSUE MONEY
If you want to make money don’t pursue money, look for people’s problems, a proffer solution to it and money will definitely come. People who pursue money always end up frustrated. Make people happy, meet a need, proffer solution to their problems, and see how rich you’ll become.
“The only way to make more money is to create more value” _Eric Kim
As the world grows daily in sophistication and complexity, an excellent man who is consistent in creating value: meeting a need or proffering solution to problems remains the key to unlock this generation, and bring men to their kneels for Jesus. Your success as a man can only be measured by how much value you have created. Don’t look for ways to receive from people, be a man that gives, change your mindset, create value, and see how the result will transform your life and the world.

THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 75; TOPIC: BE CREATIVE

BE CREATIVE  MAKE YOUR HANDS USEFUL.   Creativity is first a mindset and then an attitude. There is no problem we come face to face with that is new, they have all taken place and were either tackled or not. It is how you solve that same problem that determines how creative you are. " We are all capable of doing great things, but not everyone would do great things or achieve greatness." Greatness is not cheap, some persons like cheap things, they rather settle for less than the best, because they don't want stress. They rather clap for the best, than endure the rigours of becoming the best. We're worth more than what our eyes can see, but we need to work more than the crowd to become that thing which we were created to be. "Nothing good comes easy, I hope you've heard it before? You have to put both your mind and hands to work to achieve the greatness you desire if not you will wallow in hunger. Greatness won't fall on you, you will be th...

THE CHAMPIONS SERIES 71, 'THE WOMAN', TOPIC: THE WOMAN; MAN'S JEWEL.

The Woman; A Man's Jewel. According to the Merriam Webster a jewel is defined as a material that is highly esteemed. And as such, it is priceless. No one places high value on cheap and common products. In fact, anyone in possession of a jewel ensures its maximum protection; some even keep it with banks. “The value a man places on a woman is determined by her worth in his life, and the value she adds in complementing him.” It is also worthy of note that the value of a jewel is in its component and composition. So I ask you dear friend, what are you made of? The Bible clearly spells out the composition of the ideal woman for us, in Proverbs 31:10-31. The Scriptures call her virtuous. Your worth is not only determined by your physical appearance, but in the totality of what you have to offer. Should your man be down in any area of life, can he trust you to lift him up? Are you prepared to be profit to him, or he will be at loss with you in his life? Let me conclude by...

THE CHAMPIONS SERIES (50), "MAD MEN"

WHO ARE THOSE YOU CALL YOUR FRIENDS?   There is a popular saying that states that, “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.” The holy bible also said, “Do not be so deceive and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.” (1COR 15:33 AMP)  Those you call your friends matter a lot, they play a major role in what you will become in the future. Your friends will either make you or mare you. That’s what it is.  I would like you to consider those who are into crime, how did they get into it? a friend introduced them, those who are into prostitution, who introduced them into it? A friend.  Now let’s go back to campus, remember when some persons came the first into the campus, their very serious, some came with the mindset of graduating with a first-class, some with the mindset of serving God, while some came with the mindset of living a quiet life, but unfortunately,...
