1.    WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE VIRTUOUS WOMAN?

The word Virtuous was taken from the word Virtue and etymologically Virtue was coined out of the Latin word VIRTUS and Ancient Greek word Arête. While VIRTUS means to be strong Arête means moral excellence. In constructive term VIRTUES means "strength in moral excellence".

2.    ORIGIN OF THE WORD VIRTUOUS.

On a ground to study the word Virtuous. The term virtuous came a long way from the old traditional believe in the eastern part of the world down into the western believe. To be specific the Buddhism were able to define that a virtuous person is a person who is separated from the world. To their men they believed there was a need for them to be separated from their families to solitary places to achieve, spiritual enlightenment, while the women were separated to care for their Children. The Eastern world Italy to be precise, which happened to be then then base of the Catholics, they emphasized on sexual purity stressing the story of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife alongside virgin Mary as bases of emphasis.

3.    WHO IS A VIRTUOUS WOMAN?

In our present word, or for specific someone like me used to see a virtuous woman as an all doing all knowing kind of lady. But on the contrary I would love us to check into the gospel. Our very own Bible to know how a virtuous woman is defined.

A virtuous woman is one who people can trust and depend on, someone who does and serve others and works willingly with her hands, she is strong especially in her moral conduct, above all she is a woman that fears the Lord. Although I must emphasis that to be a virtuous woman might not necessarily mean being perfect, but it is our ability to live with Purpose, diligent, forgiveness and repentance.

In a nutshell I will be defining a virtuous woman as a woman who although as the tendency to be weak but still attains a very high standard of moral excellence because of her utmost reverence and fear for God.  She is a woman who realizes her weakness, but still upholds a high moral excellence, because of her understanding in the Lord Jesus Christ.

A virtuous woman is not only an all doing or all-knowing woman, but she is a woman who first is willing to accept her weakness, work on it and still keep a high moral standard by being morally upright, sexually chaste, loyal and humble servant, a shoulder other can depend on. In one word a virtuous woman is a strong lady, who draws her strength from no other person but God. Is a 40vs 31.
